Visiting the library – In person and online When the library buildings are closed, library employees are here to help you navigate the many remote services and resources we have available. Students, staff, and faculty can access research help and other support via chat, email, and research help appointments. Recommended resources Here are some library resources we would like to highlight: Introduction to the library website – A video tour of the PCC Library website Research help appointments – Schedule time to meet with a PCC librarian online or in-person Library audiobook and ebook collection – Audiobooks and ebooks that you can read or listen to with the Libby App. New Arrivals – Check out the latest additions to the library’s collection. Textbooks in the Library – Does the library have your textbook? Maybe! Use the Course Reserves search to see if your instructor has given the library a copy of your course textbook to place on reserve. Research and Topic Guides – PCC librarians create guides to help you locate and use books, articles, and media from PCC Library and on the web. Paper Topics Guide: This guide provides tips for how to get started on your writing and research assignments. Brainstorming Paper Topic Ideas with AI is one of many helpful resources in the guide. Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy at PCC: This guide is intended to help you learn about and critically engage with generative AI tools. Are you looking for good sources for your assignment? – Google Scholar is a search engine from Google focused on scholarly literature. Results can include articles, theses, books, abstracts. This page provides a quick overview of how to search and use Google Scholar.
