Enrolling in the Architectural Design and Drafting program

There is no application process to begin the program. Students can register for any class that does not have a prerequisite. It is strongly recommended that you follow this first term course guide and meet with a program advisor during your first term in the program.

  1. Attend an information session.? If you need help applying to PCC, registering for classes, filling out a FAFSA, determining your placement for general education classes, you can visit an orientation center at any one of our campuses.
  2. Enroll as a PCC credit student. On the admissions form, list “degree seeking”. Your major will be ADD – Architectural Design and Drafting AAS degree or?ADDR – Architectural Design and Drafting Residential AAS.
  3. Receive your G# (Student Identification Number) and complete the online orientation.
  4. Determine placement in Writing and Math. You may need to take the ALEKS online math placement test depending when you graduated from high school or if you do not have prior college level course work. If you are transferring coursework in from another school, you will need to submit official copies of your transcript to student records to determine transferability of general education classes. If you are transferring classes that may meet specific Architecture program requirements, you will need to email the program’s Faculty Department Chair your unofficial (or official) copies of your transcripts, along with course descriptions.
  5. Register for classes: see the table above to choose first term. If the class is full, you may have the option of putting yourself on a wait list. You can find the class schedule online. Plan to see the Program Advisor for subsequent term planning once you are in your second term of the program.
  6. Pay for classes: payment for classes is due two weeks prior to the start of If you fail to make a payment plan before the due date, you may be dropped from your classes. You will not receive a bill in the mail. It is your responsibility to make sure your bill is paid prior to the payment due date. You can find your account information on the Paying for College tab on your MyPCC.
  7. Attend first day of class: make sure you attend the first day of class or the instructor may give away your seat to someone on the waitlist.
