Yoga Teacher, Career Pathway certificate

  • Do you want to teach hatha yoga?
  • Are you a fitness or wellness professional and want to incorporate yoga practices into your professional work?

As a yoga teacher, you will be able to teach hatha yoga in a variety of settings, including fitness clubs, wellness centers, public and private recreation facilities, and/or corporate fitness centers. At just 12 credits, the PCC Yoga Teacher Certificate is designed to be completed in as little as two terms, but may be spread out longer. This Career Pathway certificate may be obtained as a stand-alone certificate or in addition to other Exercise Science Career Pathway Certifications and/or the AAS Exercise Science degree.

RYS Yoga Alliance logoThe Yoga Teacher Certificate is also recognized by Yoga Alliance as a 200-hour Registered Yoga School. Upon satisfactory completion of the certificate, graduates are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, an internationally recognized credential.

  • Who: High school graduates (and high school equivalency). Completion of IRW 115 or (WR 115 and RD 115) and MTH 20 or equivalent placement test scores. If you do not meet all the placement recommendations, contact us for other options.
