A black and white photo of Casey leaning against a post with trees in the backgroundHello, I’m Casey-an instructional designer with the IDEAS team!

In my work, I maintain an ecological perspective to plan and execute effectively. This includes a systems view to clarify strategy, a humanistic view to design valuable experiences, and an unquenchable optimism for the capacity of people to grow and develop.

Education

I completed my undergraduate Bachelors of Arts: English & Letters with an emphasis on creative writing (poetry) at Lewis & Clark College. In preparation for my transfer degree, I attended two different community colleges: Muskegon Community College and Portland Community College. After my undergraduate degree, I pursued a pre-nursing track for two years before ultimately making a commitment to a career in distance learning.

In 2019, I began my work in the MEd Learning, Design, & Technology degree program. In pursuit of this, I also completed post-baccalaureate certificates in e-Learning Design, as well as Educational Technology Integration.
