She believes everyone is capable of creating art, and that improvement comes with practice and gentle encouragement. Her aim is to help students navigate the learning process with ease and humor.

Jenny’s own art primarily centers on observational linework, while exploring themes of memory, place, and personal history. Her research interests also include the effects of colonialism on the botanical world in the Americas as reflected in visual culture. She holds a BA in Art with Emphasis in Painting and Printmaking from San Diego State University, an MAT in Museum Education from The George Washington University (Washington, D.C.),? and is currently an MFA student in Visual Arts at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
